If you love chocolate you are going to love these cookies! Just a great chocolaty chocolate chip cookie!
Ingredients
3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
1 3/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup chocolate chips
1/4 cup cocoa
Directions
Heat oven to 375
In a bowl combine sugars, butter, beat until light and fluffy.
Add vanilla and eggs; beat well.
Add flour, cocoa baking soda and salt; mix well.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Drop dough by teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake for 7-11 minutes. Let cool, cut into bars.

They're sort of soft with a little crunch on the outside. If I baked them a little less they would be super soft

These look delish, I LOVE chocolate! I have a question though. The ingredient list doesn't include shortening but you mention shortening in the directions. Does it need it? How much?
ReplyDeleteJenna, thanks for pointing that out about the shortening. It was an error, it doesn't need shortening, I doubled the butter and took out the shortening all together ;)
